You're viewing a new blind stopper. This part installs from the inside of the lid and both o-rings are included.
Note: This 6162 blind stopper is the longer version and will not work with a blade holder insert. We recommended that all blind stoppers to be used in conjunction with a blade holder insert. Using both the blind stopper and the blade holder provides the best protection from blade hop. You can find the combo set here.
Important: The blind stopper should never touch the attachments and is not designed to solely keep the blade down during mixing operations. If you are experiencing damage to the blind stopper there are other issues that must be address first. The first step is to use the combo set, which uses the blade insert. This insert locks the attachment in place and prevent the blade from "unlocking" and interfering with the blind stopper. The second step is to address damage to the attachment shaft. The shaft uses two interlocking fingers that lock the blade into place with centrifugal force. If those fingers become worn or damaged, the blade will not lock in place and will be forced upwards during the mixing cycle. This can be fixed by using our rotor exchange program. Note: Before ordering be sure to check the lid insert! if the lid insert is removed or worn, the blind stopper will not fit tight. (See image above) If that insert is missing you can find it in the recommended products on this page.
