This is a brand new replacement bowl seal for your VCM 25, 40 and 44 machines. This new low profile bowl seal gives more clearance in the bowl when using the knife cutting assembly. If you find that your knife cutting assembly is colliding with the standard bowl seal, we recommend this suitable OEM style replacement. This bowl seal is made from high quality food grade plastic and the o-ring is included.
It is required that each bowl seal to be installed with our food grade lubricant. Our high-performance, non-hardening, NSF approved lubricant will increase the life of the seal considerably. This lubricant should be applied liberally on the outside of the shaft sleeve, inside of the bowl seal and on the face of the o-ring. Each bowl seal now comes with enough lubricant for one installation. We recommend that the bowl seal be taken out and lubricated bi-weekly. You can add a bottle of the lubricant on this page or view it in our maintenance section of the site. Each tube of lubricant is good for multiple replacements and/or bi-weekly lubrication.
We highly recommend the replacement of the shaft sleeve if grooving or pitting is evident. With a worn shaft sleeve, the bowl seal may not seal correctly and the life of the seal will be considerably shorter.
