VCM 44 Rotor Attachment Fitment Repair - DIY Video

This DIY video will show you how to prepare a used rotor to accept a brand new dough blade or cutter shaft. It's common for the attachment shaft on the Stephan VCM 44 to expand and no longer allow new attachments to install correctly. This video will show you how to quickly repair the top section of the rotor. Tools Required: Metal file. Recommended: Sand paper to clean the edges. Note: If you are repairing the rotor while attached to the machine, place paper towels inside the bowl to cover the bowl seal. This prevents metal shavings from falling onto the seal. Be sure to completely clean the bowl and rotor after this process. Check it out below: If you are still experiencing issue with the attachments fitment. Prevent Blade Hop on a Stephan VCM 44

A common issue that occurs on the Stephan and Berkel VCM 44 is damage to the attachment shaft. This damage occurs when the dough blade "hops" or comes out of position while mixing. If this blade hop is not corrected, the attachment shaft will become damaged and no longer hold the blade in position while mixing. The solution to this problem is using our product called the Blind Stopper Blade Holder Insert Combo.   View Product We recommend all VCM 44 owners use a blade holder insert as a preventative measure. If you still experience blade hop while using our insert then a repair for your attachment shaft may be necessary.
